Door-to-door container movements from all major UK ports, nationwide delivery and collection.
Fryers Transport moves containers from every major UK deep-sea port to destinations across the country. We collect from Felixstowe, London Gateway, Tilbury and Southampton, and deliver nationwide including the British Isles.
We are a family-run haulier, incorporated in 2018, operating a modern fleet with an operations team reachable around the clock. Most of our work is repeat business from freight forwarders and importers who need a haulier that answers the phone and turns up.
Ports we collect from
Our depot sits on Ransomes Europark in Ipswich, roughly twenty minutes from the Port of Felixstowe — the UK's largest container port and the origin of the majority of our work.
We also run regular collections from London Gateway, Tilbury and Southampton, giving importers a single haulier across the south and east coast rather than a different contact at every quay.
What we can carry
20ft, 40ft and 45ft containers across a fleet that includes sliding skeletals, extendable chassis, ultra-lightweight chassis for heavy payloads, sideloader trailers for self-loading, underslung genset trailers for reefers, and extended twistlock trailers for damaged units.
Because the equipment range is broad, the awkward jobs other hauliers turn down — an overweight 45ft, a container with a buckled twistlock, a reefer that must stay powered in transit — usually have an answer here.
Compliance
The fleet is fitted with progressive safety systems meeting the London Direct Vision Standard, so deliveries into the capital are not a problem. A substantial proportion of our vehicles are ADR-equipped for dangerous goods, and we run HVO fuel to cut carbon on customer contracts that require it.

- We collect from Felixstowe, London Gateway, Tilbury and Southampton, and deliver throughout the UK including the British Isles.
- Do you deliver outside normal office hours?
- Yes. Our office is open Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm and Saturday 7am to 11am, but our operations team is contactable 24/7 and the fleet runs to booked schedules outside those hours.
- Can you handle overweight containers?
- Yes. Our ultra-lightweight 40ft chassis reduces tare weight so more of the gross limit is available for payload, which is often the difference between one load and two.
